In 2005 after Hurricane Stan sent flooding and mudslides to Guatemala's mountainous interior hundreds of homeless families were put up in temporary housing shelters. Years after the tragedy families still lived in these shelters and were raising children and creating community, waiting to be relocated. In late 2008 shortly after this project was completed, families started to move into their new homes in a village miles from where they had lost their homes after the mudslides.
